About JCSA
Josephine County Sportsman Association (JCSA) is a nonprofit sportsman organization serving Southern Oregon with opportunities for safe, responsible shooting sports, outdoor education, conservation, and youth participation.
Located outside of Merlin, Oregon, JCSA offers rifle, pistol, shotgun, archery, sporting clays, trap and skeet, cowboy action, and indoor shooting facilities for members, day-use guests, affiliated clubs, and approved events.
Through organized club activities and community partnerships, including Hunter Education with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, JCSA helps preserve shooting sports traditions while supporting responsible participation for future generations.

We are located five minutes north of Grants Pass, OR.
- Head North or South on Interstate 5, take the MERLIN EXIT 61.
- Proceed north on Highland Ave. (which parallels I-5) approximately 2 miles to the club grounds.
- Look for signs.

Offering 4 archery ranges, including 2 forest courses and a walk-up range for practice.
Offering 3 Rifle Ranges included:
Walker Mountain (paper targets 25-50-75-100)
Slug Alley (paper targets 100-200)
Big Bore (paper targets: 25-50-75-100 200-300, steel targets: 300-600)
Offering a max distance of 50 yards, with space for 15-20 people.
Consisting of 15 stations and 46 trap machines, with a trap delay system allowing for use by single shooter. Unique presentations can include crossers, overheads, incomers, teals, rabbits, and high stand shooting.
Offering 3 skeet fields of which two are shared with trap shooting and one 5-stand. Features include block houses, cement sidewalks, shaded seating, and Beomat machines.
Offering 15 shooting stations suitable for archery, small bore pistol, air rifle/pistol.
The park features 10 shooting ranges, including 4 archery, 3 rifle, 2 outdoor pistol and an indoor range for small caliber and air rifle.
